Carlos Andres Varela is a New York-based photographer whose work has appeared in Altar, Playboy Brazil and Washingtonian among other magazines. Varela creates atmospheres using aspects of fashion, film and music, influenced by the work of artists Wong Kar Wei, Miuccia Prada and Gustavo Santaolalla. Inspired by people and environments, fortified by his travels and his native Colombia, Varela explores the intersection of interdisciplinary art with the intricacies of light.
